- Are you a first or second generation immigrant living in Edmonton?
- Are you pursuing a health related field of study?
- Are you enrolled in full or part-time studies of at least 4 months in duration?
You may qualify to receive one of two $500 awards.
Application Form
The Anne Falk Memorial Education Fund has been set up through the Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers. The award is to encourage young people to follow a career of their choice in a service field.
Anne Falk, a nurse, was a founder and original staff member of the Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers. She exemplified a person who devoted her life to the Service of God, through her service to fellow humans. She had a particular love for the Vietnamese people, with whom she worked closely for many years.
We welcome students who wish to enter or continue their studies in a service related field to apply for a scholarship up to $500.00 from the Anne Falk Memorial Education Fund.
Preference will be given to first or second generation immigrants who are registered in one of the following programs:
1. Nursing
2. Child and Youth Care
3. Social Work
4. Mental Health Worker
Deadline for submission of applications is April 1, 2010
