Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)

Part-time LINC programs are offered at the EMCN location at 11713 - 82 Street in Edmonton.

Registration is on-going. However, some classes have a waiting list.

Literacy to LINC 4 classes are offered:

Mornings Monday to Friday: 9:00-12:00 noon
Afternoons Monday to Friday: 1:00-3:00 PM
Evenings Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 6:15-8:45 PM

** FREE childcare is provided in the morning and afternoon classes at EMCN for children ages 6 months to 5 years.


LINC classes also available in a multi-level classroom

Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon

All LINC students must first go to Catholic Social Services to take an assessment test, and to get their LINC card. Phone first to make an appointment.

If you want to attend EMCN classes part-time, you must ask Catholic Social Services to stamp your LINC card for EMCN (Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers). Then, bring your LINC card when you come to register for LINC classes.
